We absolutely loved the unique setting and vibe of this hidden gem restaurant. The food was both aesthetic and delicious and the staff were very welcoming and warm. An absolute must try in Antigua!

We were lucky to get in. Make reservations so you don't miss out on a wonderful meal. We had such a good meal and the service was friendly. We had the beef tenderloin and shrimp in spicy tomato. The burrito looked amazing too

A delightful return visit to a favorite find from 7 years ago. The atmosphere of this small and inviting space is warm, with smooth jazz floating through the air throughout a wonderful dining experience!We enjoyed Caprese Salad, and then buttery Yellow Curry Shrimp, and a delectable savory Shrimp dish! The Sangria was a perfect pairing for all the above!Highly recommend finding Por Que No, and arriving a little early as this quaint place does become full quickly!

Food, service and vibe - just perfect! We passed by this cafe quite a few times and always saw a crowd waiting to be seated. Thought of trying our luck for a late dinner yesterday, and luckily we could get a table right away, and ended up having our best meal in Antigua. The spicy shrimp dish is a must try. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

You cannot miss this gem while in Antigua! Vibe was unreal, service was impeccable, food was fantastic. We started with the caprese salad, then my husband had the eggplant parmigiana and I had the camarones pomodoro. We even got handed a marker to contribute to the writing on the bar.

There should be an option for a sixth star only for certain places that deserve it. Por Qué No? Is one of those places. Tucked in the corner of a broom closet in the heart of this charming town, Por Qué No? Offers an intimate and lively atmosphere. Seating for about 8 people packed line sardines right up against the wall and the kitchen, to the left is a stair case so steep you need a rope to climb it. Literally, there is a rope to help you get up to the balcony where there are a handful of extra tables. Watching the servers make their way up and down felt like watching pirates headed below deck for more supplies each time the descended. The food was phenomenal, the burrito and steak were 10/10 from flavor to presentation. Reservations are suggested otherwise you might be waiting a few hours but even that wait would be worth it. If you only have one night Antigua and are looking to take your one shot at life then this is your place, you’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain… Por Qué No?

I travel for food, and even write about food. And let me tell you, it’s rare to find a place like this anywhere. What a perfect experience. From the moment you walk into the funky, tiny, vibrant space, to the way the servers and greeters treat you like old friends, to the over-the-top coolness of the place, and then to the beautiful, delicious, and unique food - it’s all just really wonderful.So much care has been given to the experience, and it’s evident.It’s TINY - and apparently well-known by locals, so get a reservation early.I was lucky enough to sit at the bar, basically INSIDE the kitchen, was was a real treat.I can’t say enough about this extraordinary place. Just GO. And enjoy something quite unique and unforgettable in Antigua.

Perfect. Everything was perfect. My girlfriend and I have tried countless restaurants and comedores in Antigua, this may be the best one. Definitely in the top 3. Can’t say enough good things. From the staff, to the service, the atmosphere and of course the food. 10/10.
